I may get shot down in flames here!

If your are fixing your speakers where they get a bit of dust and a little dampness, you could consider a beolab 2000 link speaker I have thought about fitting one in my garden under the cover of a veranda. They are reasonable and quite a neat sounding unit and can be taken inside for the winter period if need be!

Something to think about!

Cheers Nick

Good point. For my self I'm planning CX 100's connected to a BeoLink Passive. And take them in during winter. But a used BeoLab 2000 is much cheaper, plus you just connect it to master link and AC (power outlet).

As a bonus there are also buttons for choosing source.

Re: outdoor speaker to connect B&O

This is the back of it.
Dear both,

Thank you so far. Does the Beovox have a housing? I cannot build it into the wall, it is a wooden construction.

Further: Does it have an iR-eye or does it need a sight connection to the B&O System

How do I connect the BL-passive - Masterlink?

Do you have any suggestion of other branded outdoor speakers?

Heribert

Can they fit inside the wall? It needs about 10 cm depth. They don't have a housing, they look like a car speaker. You fit it from the outside with a smart screw construction. The screws are hidden under the cover. Cover can be white or black.

You connect the BeoLink Passive to your B&O with a master link cable.

BeoLink Passive shall also be connected to power outlet (AC). 230 V or what's used in your country.

From the BeoLink Passive on cable to the remote controll eye (with buttons for on/off, volume and timer on/off).

From the BeoLink Passive regular speaker cable to each speaker.

Re: outdoor speaker to connect B&O

Have been Sonance speakers for years highly recommended!

Re: outdoor speaker to connect B&O

I had the same challenges at my house. I therefore chose the BL Passive and a set of outside KEF speakers with a housing. This works great. I can choose any source I like whne I´m outside.

The technical questions I can´t answer. I had the local B&O dealer to install everything. I have an IR eye outside.

Very good speakers. You will also need a BeoLink Passive, this can be hidden indoors. To the BeoLink Passive belongs a Link eye.

You're of course free to use any outdoor speakers from other brands, but you'll need the Beolink Passive with the eye if you want to connect them to your B&O.

B&O has a wireless masterlink system if you got problems with the cable drawing. But I highly recommend cables all the way. Bullit proof.

Re: outdoor speaker to connect B&O

Hallo/Greutzi

You might like the Beovox outdoor speaker.

The Beovox performs well for us in the Alps. as well as the Tropics without moisture, saline-humidity cold or heat problems. The Beovox can also be ML linked, and controlled with a Beo 4 remote. The installation and connection was not difficult.

outdoor speaker to connect B&O

Dear all,

I have a B&O setup out of BV8-40 and BS3200. Together with BL3 a very nice setup that I like. Now I want to expand my music to the terrace and Garden. The speakers are under roof, but exposed dusts and in extreme situations little rain.

What would be a good working solution for this? What do I need as adapters, converters,... Is there any relatively good wireless solution?

Thanks for your tips.
