macjonny1:

1) If I connect to this through the headphone jack on the Beocenter 9500 will this turn the main R and L speakers off if I also have a speaker connection via the powerlink? In other words, would connecting a pair of headphones (since this is equivalent to the Beocenter 1) mute the main speaker output?

Yes. It will mute anything connected to the speaker outputs.

2) Is there a cable to connect this 5-pin DIN AUX on the Beosound 1 to the regular R and L channels on the back of the Beocenter 9500 if I don't have any extra speakers for now?

No. Though all are DIN plugs, they are different.

3) Will the optional Beo4 remote control both units?

Yes, though you can disable the IR input with option programming if you'd like one to ignore commands.

In the meantime, was thinking it would be great just to use the Beosound 1 with it, as it has a 5-pin DIN AUX input that can be connected to a minijack through an adapter cable. Here are my questions:

1) If I connect to this through the headphone jack on the Beocenter 9500 will this turn the main R and L speakers off if I also have a speaker connection via the powerlink? In other words, would connecting a pair of headphones (since this is equivalent to the Beocenter 1) mute the main speaker output?

3) Will the optional Beo4 remote control both units?

Thanks!!
