Thanks a lot for the quick reply (and this on Sundays...)!

I've already read a lot of your postings and again I am honoured (as Belgian) to have post back from a 'specialized guy' like you !!

It's indeed quite logic that the Beogram CD on tape2 does not respond to 'tape' commands... .

So, I'll have to connect the CD5500 to the Aux with an adaptor (with a switch!) so I can still use my CD50 when I want... .

(My opinion: it's better to wear out than to rust out!!)

Can I use the Tape 2 input, because I've already a CD-player (CD50) on the AUX. Not and use datalink - the CD player behaves like a record player and does not respond to Tape commands.

Can I put 2 players on 1 input (with an adaptor) without loose the datasignal for operating with my MCP?? (a 7-pin DIN adaptor??) How will the machines know which one you are talking to? If there is a way so only one is connected at a time, yes.
