Masterlink can only carry analog signals.

I suggest connecting up the analog inputs as well as the digital inputs. I dont have a beosystem 1, but this does work my beosystem 3 as long as I connect up analog on the same av port as the digital input this works fine.

Hi Michael,

You're not the only one having problems with that.

Once you've selected the digital inputs from the system 1 or any other system which has a dolby digital/Dts board, then you will notice that there will be no sound in any linkroom.

Just finishing up a Beosystem 1 installation. After connecting the optical and digital audio inputs on the BS1 my link rooms no longer 'hear' audio from those sources(DVD, etc.) When using analog (RCA) inputs they 'hear' just fine.

I've got two link rooms: BS4 and "active link". All connected by using a ML distribution box in the correct slots (video=video,Link=link,etc.) even though my understanding is that it shouldn't matter.

One thing to note is that if I turn the volume all the way up in a link room I hear the sound faintly. So obviously I'm getting some analog crosstalk. Wouldn't that indicate that the audio is in the link unit? Or do I have yet another mystery problem with my newly acquired BS1.
