A true classic B&O design worth saving imo.

Though almost 20 years later it's obviously in need of some TLC. The glass panel can be glued down and cd player can be repaired. I suggest starting with cleaning the cd laser lens. Has worked on my cd player.

Replacing the beocenter will be another matter. You have a MCL system and newer B&O equipment is powerlink and masterlink. Though you can always add a seperate amp (like an MCL2P or the more recent ML/MCL units) to make your existing link system work.

I have a 9500 Centre which has been a fantasitic piece of kit driving 3 x extra speaker kits

The speakers are either CX 50 / 100 or Bose - all non powered. I have had no issues since purchase in 1990 ish. What value..!

However I have an issue with the CD player. I load a CD and it plays. It take longer to start playing than usual. After maybe 5 minutes or if I change track, the machine clicks then turns off into standby mode.If the 9500 is not used for a week the CD will play longer.

Is the machine on the way out and if so what should I replace it with that with drive the B&O link system in the house being in mind all of the speakers require an amp?

The glass sensor touch panel is also lose, the foam holding it in place has lost its grip.

Do I move on or is it worth repairing?

Any advice appreciated.
