Actually, i've no idea - but it looks like a good suggestion.

Keith is changing it now, then will pack up his smashed keyboard.

Apparently the forum software shares the problem with many other forum platforms - they have this stupid notion of "forum time" which doesn't make any sense in a global environment. The only solution that works is to keep everything in UTC internally so you never have to care about time zones nor DSTs, and while presenting the dates to the user, convert to his local time according to personal settings...

Re: Forum time incorrect?

Well - i'm notorious for messing up settings, so in response to this i've been and altered the forum clock to GMT time thinking i've done the right thing. Van will probably catch the bus down to the BeoWorld offices and hit me with his BeoWorld mug and Keith Saunders will more than likely jump on his keyboard and post me the remains...

However the clock setting for the prize draw countdown is correct because the Beoworld web site runs on a different server in the UK.

On the time stamp of this posting the clock will be changed until next Sunday morning when I will change it again.

Re: Forum time incorrect?

tournedos:

Since the DST ended, the forum has displayed every time stamp one hour ahead for me.

Yes, I have my personal time zone set correctly (currently GMT+2:00 for Finland) in the profile, and tried logoff-login

Yes, same in UK. The forum is still on DST and has not reverted to GMT as it should have done last Sunday.

Forum time incorrect?

Since the DST ended, the forum has displayed every time stamp one hour ahead for me.
