Never had that one before! It does rather depend on the wiring used - there are a variety of Powerlink cables and not all of them use all the pins. I suggest looking here to see the layout of the wiring. However, the cable was really meant for line level signal rather than amplified and the cables are quite thin. I am not convinced these will be particularly suitable for your needs! You could always see if the wires would act as cable pulls for proper speaker wire!

Use 8 pin DIN powerlink cables with non B&O amp & non B&O speakers

Good evening. I have a somewhat odd question that I'm hopeful someone may be able to assist with. I recently bought a flat and the previous owner had all B&O equipment and had an excellent job done of wiring all the A/V cords into the walls. Redoing the A/V wiring job is quite difficult and costly, so I was hoping to re-use the speaker cables. Does anyone have experience (1) passing an amplified signal through the 8 pin DIN powerlink cable and (2) if 1 is possible, any guidance as to which pins would be best to use to transmit the signal.

My naive approach would be to pick two pins and transmit the plus / minus signals down the cable and see if it works.

I'm hopeful that someone may have some advice for me.

Thanks very much for you assistance!
