I have a Beoport and a Beomedia 1 masterlinked in the same system. Beomedia is near the BV, and the Beoport is in the office, connected to the PC. You have to check on the advanced tab from Beoport Config: Main PC=No. I can hear N.Music from Beomedia in any link room, and N.Music from PC in the office.

But, if I switch off the Beomedia, then, when I choose N.Music from any link room, I hear it from my PC. This is good if you have, as me, a lot of music in a NAS, so Beoport can scan it but Beomedia no.

I hope you can understand me, sorry for my english.

Re: BeoMedia 1 and BeoPort on same computer

This one is for sure N.Music compatible.

As BeoMedia 1 is a small computer then the mp3 files are stored on and played from that device, and not from the computer?

If I want to play mp3 files on the BeoMedia 1, just hook up the BeoSound 3000 to MasterLink, and if I want to play mp3's from the computer I need to go via the BeoPort. Correct?

But if there is both a BeoMedia 1 and a BeoPort hooked up to MasterLink, which one will respond to pressing N.Music in the linkroom (BeoPort also in linkroom as well as the computer)?

But if the firmware is N.MUSIC compatible, yes, you will be able to call N.MUSIC and N.RADIO from any room.

Re: BeoMedia 1 and BeoPort on same computer

So let me get this right.

If I have BeoMedia 1 in main room, and want to be able to play mp3's in an other room. I then buy e.g. a BeoSound 3000 and link it up by MasterLink, then I can play N.Music and N.Radio in the other room?
