&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The setting works for all media, internal (XMB Crossbar) sound, DVD, Blu-Ray and through mediastreaming.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Normally you had to set the digital output to have DD or DTS&amp;nbsp;without having the stereo sound from the menu.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Sony released new software (at the moment 3.02) for the ps3, which makes it possible to use several audio-sockets at the same time.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Till now you had to choose between the analog, optical digital or HDMI output for sound.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Now it is possible to use the optical digital out AND the stereo analog signal.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;So you start with stereo audiosignal through the analog socket of your BV/BS and when DD/DTS is available, the BV/BS will automatically switch to the digital input.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Update your systemsoftware, choose the right audioformats (optical with DD and DTS) and after that choose &amp;quot;yes&amp;quot; at the option &amp;quot;multi-ouput&amp;quot;.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
