Well, I am based in Buenos Aires, Argentina and there's a B&O store represented by a distributor in town. I will ask if they also import spare parts, but I'm not sure. Otherwise I should order from Europe or USA.

The drivers were already refoamed when I bought the speakers, and honestly was not a nice work what they did. That's why I'm considering a deep restore... although I can't assure this is affecting the sound quality. I still could't test them deeply.

I assume a capacitor replacement on the crossovers would be a complement.

Anyway, there will be still the holes alignment difference to resolve... I guess it can be solved.

Jankay

I don't know much about the MCL amp I'm afraid, but it does sound like you have a lot of speakers connected to a relatively low-powered amplifier. Maybe someone else will know more?

I would say get a Beomaster 8000 otherwise - no lack of power there!

The MCL amp is more than capable of running a pair of CX100 or a CX50/Cona combo.

As my home theater, I Use 2 MCL2p amps in combination with my AV7000 to power my 2 front and 2 back speakers. Works very well for me.
All of them are CX100.

I suggest you use the BM3500 with the CX50/CONA combination and use a full MCL2p (ML/MCL) with the IR eye to power the CX100's.

Re: CX100 - New Life....

I don't know much about the MCL amp I'm afraid, but it does sound like you have a lot of speakers connected to a relatively low-powered amplifier. The Cona definitely adds bass to the CX50s, and I guess it would do the same to CX100s.

Don't forget that you run the speaker outputs through the Cona, then run the CXs directly from the Cona itself. The Cona has its own crossover that takes the bass for itself, then runs the higher frequencies to the CX speakers. Of course, you can run the Cona by itself, but that was the simplest way envisaged by B&O when it was in production.

For what it's worth, I run my Cona nowadays from the Speaker 2 outputs from my Beomaster 8000. Other speakers are not connected directly to the Cona. The Beovox Pentas I use are run directly from the Speaker 1 outputs. No need for the Cona's crossover to decide what bass it will take when two pentas have eight bass drivers between them!
