I just use it for the very few calls I receive on my landline so a Beocom 5 is overkill so to say... Though it looks pretty nice.

Re: Repair a Beocom 4 or get a replacement handset?

Saxpy:

Or should I just give up and get a new handset for the old base?

I'm fairly certain that it is note possible to buy another single handset and register to your existing base. The BeoCom4 is supplied as a matched pair of base & handset.

I would take the handset and base to your local dealer and get an estimate for the repair. It will be cheaper than scrapping it and buying new. Or if you fancy a BeoCom5 when it is lanched soon hang on

I have an old Beocom 4 that has served me well for the last 6years but has now started acting up on me.

The battery is not what it used to be and there is there is no ringing tone anymore apart from that it works just fine.

Does anyone know if B&O have a replacement program for these phone i.e. do they just change the PCB etc for a reasonable fee or do they actually repair it? Or should I just give up and get a new handset for the old base?
