The Nyko is the only USB dongle which works with the STB-C/PUC list.

I've tried several universal dongle's but the Nyko was the only one which responded to the ir-eye from the STB-C/PUC.

Indeed the ON function isn't supported as the USB doesn't get the required 5V in standby.

Buy the re-bl. The only product on the market equipped to toggle power on/off.. Its a ust buy if you have a ps3 and a BeoVision 7...

Our dealer recommended and installed a NYKO (remote and dongle set up), which means we can use the Beo5 remote to control the PS3. It works perfectly - the only thing is you have to turn the PS3 on manually. That is never a problem though as it turns on automatically whenever a DVD is loaded!

You can turn off the ps3 WITH the BEO5 remote (and therefore I perhaps the BEO4 too) easily.

They have a guide on how to connect it, and it supports power on and power off of the PS3 directly from the Beo4. Anyone tried it?

You can.

Get an USB IR dongle from a IR PS3 remote (search amazon for it) and either control the PS3 directly with your Beo5 or, plug an IR transmitter cable in the back of your BV7 and glue that remote eye to the USB dongle (B&O dealer has those cables)

Check the PUC list, if there is the PS3 remote installed, otherwise update the software of your BV7.

Once you've added the puc command, you can control the PS3 with your Beo4/5.

The only thing that isn't working, is PS3 power on/off.

Hi dilberto1977,

Unfortunately you cannot program B&O's Beo4 or Beo5 to operate the PS3. Like you, I use the PlayStation remote which isn't all too bad for the occasional time I choose to watch a movie.

Loewe have a very versatile remote at the moment.

Hi,

I use my Playstation 3 as Blu-ray disc player on my Beovision7 but im tired of using the ps3 remote control when i have my Beo4 remote!

I want to control my Playstation 3 completely from my Beo4 remote including power on / off, what is the best solution?
