For a retro fit......I can advise you to buy a complete Car Audio B&O set on ebay.de, there are sets on sale for 450 euro! And than your project starts. See this link on ebay:

Porsche works with Burmester (Audio). See the options list for the Porsche Panamera.

Porsche uses the Burmeister audio system only on the Panamera. The rest of the range can be equiped with a Bose system.

I heard the system in a friends Audi Q7 and it sounded superb :-)

Porsche works with Burmester (Audio). See the options list for the Porsche Panamera.

Porsche being now integrated at VW, the future will learn what choices Porsche will make in multimedia....

Indeed, if i remember correctly, only the A8/S8 and Q7 have the B&O Advanced Sound System,

the other models have the B&O Sound System.

Shame on me! A very unlikely mistake I made there! There will be an A7 in the near future, however. I deliberately didn't mention the R8 as it hasn't the same sound system.

:-o, already bought the Porsche. I was happy with the sound system until I experienced the quality of the audi system.

Oh well, will have to get an R8 in a couple of years :-)

BeoCool also forgets the Q7 mentioned in the OP. On the other hand the 'Advanced' audio system is only in the A8 (and variants) and the Q7. I think even the R8 gets the 'regular' B&O system.

There are quite a few issues to consider here:

The B&O advanced sound system, you find in the A7, A8 and S8 uses a microphone to continuously adjust it's settings. These are specific for the type of car and won't work as well in a different car;
It may sound less good than you expect. The speakers are made for a specific type of car and its acoustics. Car manufacturers go to great lengths in this area, with different results I admit. For instance BMW uses the same system for a specific type of car, but the way they are set up depend on the choice of upholstery (leather or cloth) Cloth tends to absorb soundwaves, while leather tends to bounce them back.
I'm not sure if Porsche's headunit can handle the B&O system;
Do the speakers fit in the car? You really don't want to mess with the structure of the car too much;

I'm not sure if B&O will extend the range beyond Audi, Aston Martin and AMG Mercedes...

The B&O advanced sound system is indeed superb, but I'm afraid the best solution is to buy an A7, A8 or S8 instead of a Porsche...
