These boxes are out of production but were recommended by B&O for STB control, so a lot of them are still about.

Retuned the boxes yesterday. One is perfect with the channels in the right order, one has scrambled them. I'm told that the unscrambling may need an over-air software update (with no date given for the next: the last may have been 18 months ago.) Found an on-line Panasonic suggestion that disconnecting the power and aerial for 15 minutes and then reconnecting the power before the aerial might provide a fix but it hasn't worked for me. Also that you should retune using the 'Revert to Factory Settings" option in the tuning menu.

Just a word of warning to anyone using the factory settings option: the box will demand your owner's PIN before working again. If, like me, you set the PIN many years ago you may have forgotten it (as it's not required for the normal add channels option). Took me some time but I did re-guess my PIN in the end!

If your tuner does scramble the channels you will also find that it scrambles them differently each time you try another re-tune, and you can eventually get two or three into the right order at the beginning of the list. You can also use a blue button option to list a few favourites but it's not an ideal work-around.

Just need to establish now how to get a notification of the next over-air update!
