Found a white model on a Danish small ads site for 250Kr. Seller said it was perfect cosmetically, but lights not working so assumed faulty. Well, 'Lights not working' turned out to actually mean lights/ lenses missing and a whole lot of other problems!

Martin has just completed a full overhaul inc caps etc. Will post pictures in due course.

This one was boxed too Peter, so I guess that adds to its desirability. I prefer the white ones, but the white trim isn't very hard wearing!

I got my perfect wood one (not so keen on white) for £30. I do think the white ones attract a premium though these days.

Andreas - Thank you. These CX50s are still playing in some new speaker foams, but they sound very good with the Beomaster. You should dig yours out! :)

No skill on my part really, just the new 50mm lens we got for our D60. Makes everything easy. Plus the BM2000 is a real beauty :)

Been enjoying listening to it earlier this afternoon in between lectures. My girlfriend's office at work is now the lucky recipient of my trusty BM 900 + BV 1000s, so if she ever fancies listening to the radio at work, she now can as I had to clear the previous set up off the desk to make room for this beauty!

John,

If you can get into the Beomaster and handle a normal electronic size soldering iron, you can easily do the kit.
Replacing the dial pointer lamp the above way is not very hard.
