That was just a design feature... 1 power cord for the comlete system BS2500 and the BL2500, especially when mounted on the steel shelf on the wall.

Technicly there is no difference to 3 sperate power cords.

I'm no technical expert but I had a beosystem 2500 for years which I used with a pair of Beolab 6000's - having ditched the beolab 2500's.

I had my 2500 unit plugged directly into the mains - with each speaker plugged in separately (3 plugs in all) with no problem at all. In fact I believe that each having their own direct mains supply is the best way anyway rather than feeding through something else (i.e. speakers)

So definately yes, plug in ur 2500 unit and your 4500's with their own plugs and you'll be fine.

i have a beosystem 2500. when i had the 2500 speakers to go with this there was a link power supply going into my unit from the speakers and directly into the wall socket from the speakers. i have now bought a set of Beolab4500 they both have their own power supply into the mains. is it safe to run a power supply from my beosystem directly into the mains or do i have to go through the speakers. i hope you can help. many thanks Andy
