&lt;p&gt;it&amp;#39;s been a while since my last post. I thought I would finally post some pictures of my restoration work. The 5000&amp;#39; s looked in similar condition to the cubes when I found them in the local flea market but they really only needed a good sanding a some oil.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Still looking for a Beolab 5000 system, but most are out of my reach when and if they become available.&lt;/p&gt;

(Time / Dark side of the moon)&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Given that my dinning room is at &amp;nbsp;180&amp;deg; &amp;nbsp;from where the speakers are, you can really notice the difference. I have always plugged them in the back of them. I have used them with Redline speakers though and they were most impressive! Very useful for widening the soundstage.
