&lt;p&gt;Most obvious reason: your BeoSound 1 is set to option 0 = the IR receiver is turned off.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;To activate the IR , stand in front of your BeoSound 1 while in stand-by, press &amp;quot;std-by + list&amp;quot; at the same time on your Beo4, then press &amp;quot;list&amp;quot; until your reach &amp;quot;option&amp;quot;, then press &amp;quot;go&amp;quot;, then go to &amp;quot;A.OPT&amp;quot; (audio option), then finally press &amp;quot;1&amp;quot; (option 1 enabled). &lt;p&gt;first time posting, while being a B&amp;amp;O guy for quite some time now :)&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I just got hands on a white &amp;#39;07 BS1 and cannot make it operable with any of the 3 Beo4&amp;#39;s I own - while they all work with all my other B&amp;amp;O equip (including another BS1). Scrolled through the menus but cannot find any hint of waht&amp;#39;s wrong!&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt; Any help?&lt;/p&gt;
