These are the key new functionalities:

SW version 5.0 supports DVB-S functionality

New cursor and changed menu layout

Addition of a Wake Up Timer

Stand By functionality in connection with turning off a STB

Customer Service Menu (as on the BV7-32) Further comments below

Loudness is now always available, even if no external speakers are connected

Because of the addition functionality a new user guide was produced by B&O

The New Customer Service menu layer was added for more advanced setups and readouts as is common on today's Beovisions..

Also some problems were fixed such as:

The internal speakers are not muted in Speaker 2 or Speaker 4 mode, so you may hear hissing noise from the electronics especially when listening in silent surroundings. From SW 5.0 the speakers are muted in Speaker 2 and Speaker 4 mode.

Blop/Crack in external speakers when turning the system to Standby

Problems when trying to start up the product after it has been disconnected from the mains and switched on again. Sometimes the software doesn't recognise the appropriate hardware and therefore it doesn't start up and is dead (chassis must be exchanged).

Improved set-top box handling (in some cases the set-top box would be
switched off instead of on, because the TV did not know the actual
state of the set-top box due to missing Scart pin8 sense.

You could not select a program number when recording from SAT.

Problem in Option 5 -- Sound but no picture when switching on SAT, DVD or other external source.

Problem in Option 6 -- Noise in BeoLab 5 when the system is switched to standby from audio mode.

I have SW 2.3 in it right now, so rather old! Do you know what changes/improvements they have made in the SW updates? E.g. has the picture quality been improved?

Re: Latest SW version for BeoVision 6-22

The latest TV software version for the Beovision 6-22 is 5.21

Latest SW version for BeoVision 6-22

Hi,
