&lt;p&gt;I would be wise you get the manual for these LC1. They can do all the things you mention and even more... &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;You can download the LC1 manual, from Beoworld, &amp;nbsp;if you become a paying member of this site.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;You can get a LC2 user guide free from the Bang &amp;amp; Olufsen web site here:&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;They work in almost the same way. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The LC2 guide is actually more useful as it shows how to use them from a Beo4. The LC1 guide probably only mentions the Beolink 1000.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;And Yes, you can have multiple lamps on the same LC1.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;If you have more than one LC1 or LC2 in the same room, you can program up to 9 light pictures, or moods. &lt;/p&gt;
