Excuse me for my bad English.
Indeed, the turntable motor of CD50 was a lot of problems.

To access, you must remove the part that supports the laser block, the
engine upside down. Most often one or two small drops of fine oil
(sewing machine) are sufficient to solve the problem.

Do not inject the oil with pressure, but rather onto a thin screwdriver
a drop, then drop this slide left along the axis of the motor, the axis is visible on the + / - 5mm beneath the table support the CD.

It's very simple, but delicate, be careful to block laser.

repair of cd 50

I am a B&O enthusiast since many years. Presently I own a 5000 system which works fine except the cd player Beogram CD 50. The B&O dealer in Innsbruck was not able to repair it (they said it´s the laser unit which cannot be replaced). Since I like the design I decided to buy another CD 50 via ebay. I was lucky to get one but two weeks after I got it the "new" player showed the same problems: the CD starts but except some clicking noises nothing can be heard.

My question to the forum is: does anyone know a place where this cd player can be repaired? I read in the forum that it is probably not the laser but the motor which causes the problem.
