I'm sure the ML Gateway works just great, but since I don't have experience with it I can only point you in the direction of Lintronic.

Try the Lintronic 238, I have, it will do everything you need. No problem. And if you're a technical person, and need some special help with say RS232 integration, then Michael there is the right guy.

It's so flecible that I have x-10 wall pads controlling some of my Avant TV functions. If I could afford an RTI install, I can only imagine the possibilities.

The ML Gateway can work both ways, and allow a home automation system to send any command to all the B&O equipment on the ML network.

Hi there, I am new to the site and have a few brief questions about the B&O screens
being controlled from a ML Gateway.

We install RTI remote controls and wall keypads (www.rticorp.com) in custom AV
and home automation installations and are looking at providing control to four screens
that a B&O installer is putting in. I also believe that they are installing the ML Gateway
product.

From my brief research, the ML Gateway looks like it controls from the B&O infrastructure
out to items such as lighting etc. not the other way round ie. sending commands to it
to turn screens on / off , select inputs etc.

We are using the RTI wall pads to control lighting, Kaleidascape media servers and other
AV equipment with no problems but are battling to find any information on how to control
the B&O stuff. As far as protocols are concerned, we have IR, RS232 and IP at our disposal
with either RS232 or IP being prefereable.

I know that B&O commands / integration are tightly controlled (and rightly so) but do you guys
know of any way to / think that it may be possible to;

Send the following commands to the screens from our processing units;

Power On
Power Off
Source HD
Vol-
Vol+
Ch-
Ch+
#'s 0-9
etc. etc.

The integrator mentioned that there is a PC app that can control the screens
via some form of IP API which I still havent seen but I just wanted to get some
of your opinions on whether this is a non-starter or not...
