I had those in my Beovox S80.2's. These would be Vifa's newest version of them. I think the D25 were a coated silk dome, and the D26's were a coated fabric of a different type.

Look here:

http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=264-524

This should be an almost exact replacement. I bet you wouldn't notice a difference between the old tweeter that works, and this one.

Also, keep the faceplates from your old tweeters!! I find that B&O generally makes their own faceplates for the tweeters, and retrofits them to the OEM driver. You'll have to swap them over for your tweeter to mount up correctly. Should just be three screws for this tweeter.

If it is the D26 model, then I found a place with two left, which I will PM to you so that no one else sees this and snatches them up. They are a discontinued model.

Hope that helps!

Jon

PM to follow...

Re: Tweeter Driver for RL 60,2 8480200

I have "recaped" the crossover with no luck. You can see both versions side by side here. Bass and mid sections were identical.

Once you find the problem, consider replacing the old caps with new ones! The difference before and after was really worth it in my pair.

Re: Tweeter Driver for RL 60,2 8480200

The Vifa tweeter was fine. A resistance of 5 ohm. The Woffers (one of them works as midrange) was Nokia by the way. I quickly looked at the crossover filter and didn't find which component was who... Do you have a multimeter? If you measure the DC resistance of the driver, it should give you a reading. If it doesn't, then the voice coil is an open circuit, and is blown.

If it is the tweeter, you can probably source a suitably close replacement from a speaker distributor like Madisound. My experience with B&O speakers is that they usually use SEAS or Vifa tweeters. I've heard they use Phillips drivers as well sometimes. If they are one of those brands, I bet you could find a very close replacement from their new lines. The new SEAS tweeters, like the 27TDF are great! If you pull the tweeter out of your speaker and the number on the driver starts with an "H", it's a SEAS driver.

If the driver measures out, then you should look at the tweeter section of the crossover filter. Some component there is no longer functioning - a resistor or capacitor.

Hope that helps.
