So everytime the Beolink system is not working properly the first question should be: "Did the dealer solder the cables?"

Have fun with your system.

The problem ist solved now. Yes i am using the original white (now changed to black) transceiver. I also made the setup for option 2.

The problem was a faulty mcl speaker connection (soldered by our dealer...). The white (data) connection was shorted with the right speaker wire (ground).

I overlooked that the two-way response (sound level) comes from the MCLAV and not from the Beomaster, so i never checked the data-Connection.

Now everything works as it should and we can proceed to the other rooms.

Thanks a lot

Try to set the whole system to standby by pressing and holdind the MUTE button. Then press LINK 2 STORE on your BL 1000 or L.OPT 2 on Beo4.

Just finished the upgrade from a BS3000 to a BS4500 in our living room. Sounds better and looks nice (black chassis from BS3500, polished surfaces from BS4500, inside BM4500 two-way, took quiet a time to collect all the pieces and to merge everything).

Then i started to upgrade the mcl30 - rooms to MCLAV. In the room i started with the work, everything seemed to be just fine in the beginning. When the system in the central room is playing, i was able to switch on the system in the secondary room, to adjust the volume and to mute the secondary room. I also have the status of the two-way-system on BL5000. But i never succeded to switch on/off the main system or to change the radio station or to change from radio to phono or to CD. I tried this with BL1000, BL5000 and Beo4. I also made the setup for the central system (Option 1 or Option2) and the Setup for the secondary system (Option 2). I also checked the new connections on the MCLAV and couldn't find any problems. I have no local connections made to the MCLAV.

I don't want to upgrade the other rooms until i am shure that everything is running fine, but have no idea what went wrong.

So i would appreciate any suggestions or help. Thanks in advance
