No the SC 80 and SC 80-2 were available for the European market. I have a catalogue picked up in Germany which lists both. I also have a UK catalogue that lists these. Sadly I cannot find a price list (yet!).

I have put an ad in the "Wanted" section of Beoworld (so far it is not showing up) and I have given myself a certain time window. After that I even consider the possibility of building one cabinet using the measurement of an original one (correction: to have _someone_ to build it for me)

Peter can you give me some details/pictures that go beyond height, width and depth I can read in my catalogues?

I think it was available here but only for a short time as the Beomaster 8000 was discontinued fairly soon afterwards. The Beomaster 6000 is not as wide so the cabinet was discontinued as well. I have a SC80 with mine - I don't remember seeing a SC80/2 in the flesh!

In my long search for the original cabinet for my Beosystem 8000 I went looking in my early 80s collection of B&O brochures and catalogues

it seems that there were 2 models: the SC 80 with the "wings" covered and the SC 80/2 with a "cleaner" look in that the job of supporting the upper layer was brilliantly executed by "S" shaped steel/aluminium wings.

Am I correct or the SC 80/2 was specifically for the US markets since I see it in one of my preferred brochures for the Beosystem 8000 for the US market
