I have a BV1 and the AV socket is configured as VTAPE to make the Sky Digital box work. Although configured as DECODER it doesn't work at all!

ah, after playing around with it for half an hour i realised that it's to do with the mode the television is in! When i assign V.TAPE as a V.TAPE connected the picture is clear and perfect. When i assign V.TAPE as a decoder connected it is grainy and wobbly. It must be to do with CVBS vs RGB!

Look at the cable run and get a better insulated Scart - I dare say Steve at Sounds Heavenly can help.

Yes i do need to try that, if this is the case of interference how would i remedy this?

The first thing I would try is a short scart in case the problem is interference.

Hi, i'm wondering if someone could shed some light on this issue i have, i've tried two strong set top boxes with my BC1 recently and it is connected via a 10 metre scart lead (as it is on a high pole stand). I have noticed that the picture is slightly wobbly (like little water ripples). Is this normal? It does not do this when the DVD is on, and i don't remember the picture always doing this...?
