&lt;p&gt;Replacing the mechanism is expensive I believe so I probably skip .... &lt;p&gt;Yes!!!!! &lt;br /&gt;my 9000 mk2 had &lt;strong&gt;EXACTLY&lt;/strong&gt; the same behaviour some years ago; specially with long duration cds (near of full-80min music inside).&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;not good news: the whole cd mechanism unit was replaced.&lt;/p&gt;
