It says

"Beomasters marked with X do not have a Datalink connection for a compact disc player. For these models, the Beogram CD X (also marked X ), CDX 2 or a CD 50 fitted with the IR sensor kit are recommended.

Your BM 3000 is marked with an X .

Re: Datalink compatibility CD3300 & BM3000?

The tape socket is a 7 pin DIN.

I don't have a CD3300, otherwise I would have tried already

I'm really in love with the datalink system so I'm trying to find a CD player that will match the BM3000 ánd will datalink with it. If there is no such thing I'll start looking out for a new beosystem which does include a datalinkable CD player.

I forgot about those pages, but the answer there 's not yet definitive...

I just tried if my BG3000 would start when pressing TP/the BM3000 would go on TP with the BG plugged in to the TP socket, there was no communication.

Is the datalink signal device specific, or in other words, will a TP socket respond to the signal of a CD player and vice versa?

I used to have a BC2000, it communicated fine with the BM3000 via the TP socket.

Thank you!

Re: Datalink compatibility CD3300 & BM3000?

Hmmmm, I wasn't sure about that, so I went onto the Datalink page of Beotech to see.
It would appear that the Beomaster 3000 and the Beogram CD3300 are indeed, Datalink compatible.
Have a look yourself, here.

I have a quick question, I'd like a CD player with my beomaster 3000 (1986's) and beogram 3000, if I plug a beogram CD3300 into the tape socket of the BM3000, will they 'communicate', or will only a tape deck (eg BC2000) work?

Thanks in advance!
