if you have a BV7 MK2 u need to use a scart lead for sound

The problem with DVI is that it can't handle sound, as you've found out :(

The audio L/R cables should work though. Have you selected AV4 as your Sky option within your connection settings and then sound input -> YPdPr? Without this, it won't recognise sound through the AV4 input.

Have just had a sky+ hd box installed. of course sky engineer only had hdmi cable so didnt complete installation but left me to go buy a dvi/i connector. that is now connected and picture comes through fine. but no sound. have tried connecting audio l-r cables from sky box to av4 socket on bv7, and also tried a coaxial digital cable from digital out on sjy box to a1 on bv7. still no sound.

any suggestions?
