As far as I know there isn't any codes yet to control the WDTV, so I do have to use it's own remote...but the WDTV is great for playing back nearly any format inc. FLAC which is great for music purists, I have copied most of my albums this way and just put them on a hard drive which is always connected to the WDTV. Oh and yep, it's easy to use the Subs selection, just depends on the source.

On a separate note, I have had the BV7 for a few months now and apart from a small hiccup with red screen of death (which my B&O dealer sorted out very quickly considering I live 500K from them) I really love the TV, colours are brilliant and the sound has seemed to hit a sweet spot, playing with all the settings paid off! Watching Inglourious Basterds on Blu-ray, when the David Bowie song comes on just blows me away, such a great film to experience on the BV7, I just wished I had the 55" now !!!

Yes it is a MKIV set

It is the version with no DVD or Bluray as I have a Beocentre2 which I need to keep as it plays all my old UK DVD's as it's region free. Plus the Beocentre2 looks great. Also I have a PS3 which is a great Bluray player, Xbox360 best games machine and the WDTV is the best media player! Phew feel like a nerd.....

The cat is going to rule the planet (I'm sure that's what he thinks?)

And I'm sorry moxxey didnt mean to question your grammer.

Anyway, going to watch my favourite movie 'The Big Blue' (Le grand bleu) on BluRay tonight, can't wait

Although I would hardly call the 7.4 speaker "Basic"

I think you misinterpret my use of 'basic'. If it's used on
its own, it's limited in capability. It's designed as central mono speaker. I
don't know why we have to turn frequent Beoworld discussions in to debates
about our use of grammar. Happens too often.
