I had doubts going from a Bv3 ( 32”) to Bv7-40 with a viewing distance of 2.5 mts. , thought it would be to dominating , got adjusted to it in a day and now wouldn’t go back to the 32” . See if they will let you try one for a few days , better than wondering if afterwards .

Well, for the viewing distance 40 inch would be far better than 32 inch.

We do have a 50 inch tv at 3,5 meters and the picture is brilliant! (Pioneer Kuro)

The worst thing about my BV8-26 is the lack of glass screen cover, which means that it gets far greasier than my BV7-40 and is harder to keep clean. I used to own a MKI BV7-32 and borrowed a MKII BV7-32 for a month and was really impressed with SD on the panel. If you could find a MKIII pre-loved BV7-32 (lots of them around), this could represent a good buy.

Bear in mind the MKV BV7-32 is due soon (or is already out?) which will ship with the same chassis from the BV7-40 and 2 x HDMI sockets.

I think i'm swayed to the BV7-32, particularly the MKV - was just looking at a way of saving cash by getting a BV8 ...

Does anyone have any experience of the MKV re picture quality on SD and DVD content? Plus does anyone know if any of the West London dealers have one on display to see?

Would be great to have a 40 but it's too wide for the space the tv would sit in. The 32 would fit perfectly and the viewing distance is about 2.5m to 3m so i think 32 should be the best size (my current 26 is just a little bit too small)

I agree the bv7 looks best but is the quality of the picture significantly better than the bv8 in the 32 inch format to make the price difference worth paying?

Hello all,

I have done a few searches on the site but haven’t been successful in finding anything too similar to this request.

I’m looking to upgrade my BC6-26 to a 32 inch TV (a 40 would be too large for the room / viewing distance).

Therefore I am looking to compare the BV8-32 (with maybe 2xBL3 in addition) or BV7-32 (no dvd) with BL7-1

No need for the DVD BV7-32 version as the set will be attached to my BC2 for DVD / audio master.

What’s the consensus on difference in / best picture on SD content (most my viewing is via sky+) and DVD?

Would love to see the two side by side but it seems the B&O shops near me in London don’t have both 8-32 and 7-32 in at the same time and hence would really appreciate your views
