Down the page they suggest using a HDMI to DVI or like adapter. You short out pins 14 ang 16 using a paperclip. It works as instructed. Brilliant hack. If you restart the unit you do it again, simple.

Hi,

I have an Avant 32 DVD with an apple TV connected through one of these : http://www.svideo.com/appletv2tv.html

It works as a charm through the second STB-C controller in my TV (ATV have a learning possibility so I havent even updated the STB-C sw)

I really recommend this setup.

Yes I thought it would not work, thanks Andreas maybe the mac min move is the better idea. However I already have an apple imac thats why I wanted to go the tv route. I know how the front row works it is great. Whats it like on your BV5

Someone else probably knows better, but I think you'll be facing the same kinds of problem as me with BV5 and apple TV. The apple TV has HDMI and component. my BV5 has neither, and a simple component to scart adapter is not enough, but expensive "transformers" are needed. I skipped apple TV for a mac mini.

To the Apple mini dvi there are adapters available from apple to make it into video. So I'm guessing this is a better solution. Apples front row software is great, much similar to apple TV.
