The lid will not open automatically, there will be a &quot;rasping&quot; sound as if gears&nbsp;are&nbsp; not really &quot;in&nbsp;gear&quot;. When I help the&nbsp;lid up, put a CD in and press the &quot;play&quot;&nbsp;button, the lid falls down with a slam.&nbsp;&nbsp; <br /><br />I thought initially it was the hinge&nbsp;but when I opened the CDX &nbsp;it seemed as if&nbsp;the tooth on one of the wheels on the right side was cut of.
