Also great for concealing the cables within&amp;nbsp;(including those belonging to my digital cable box which is mounted behind the tv). &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;the finish is matt silver. the base is a square. can manually rotate the tv upon the stand.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;personally , no regrets. i bought the 8-40 also partly because of the stand.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I&amp;#39;m thinking of getting the stand for my BV8-40. &amp;nbsp;Has anyone seen this set up? &amp;nbsp;I have seen the official pictures obviously, but it is difficult to get much of a sense from these. &amp;nbsp;From the pictures, it looks a little bit crude. &amp;nbsp;Certainly far less svelte than the rakish stand for the smaller models. &amp;nbsp;I can&amp;#39;t tell what the finish is, but it almost looks like it&amp;#39;s painted.&amp;nbsp;I have been to all my local dealers, but they have all opted for the cabinet for their display models. &amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Anyway, I would be interested in the impressions of anyone who has seen it. &amp;nbsp;And if you happen to have photos of your own set up which you wouldn&amp;#39;t mind sharing, that would be delightful.&lt;/p&gt;
