I can not be totally affirmative as I don't own a BV8 yet, but normally there shouldn't be any issue. 4X2 HDMI switches can be bought for 100€, so you should give a try

Re: BV8-40 and Beamer?

Would I loose the good use of a beo4 who would it behave when I select sat od DVD as a source would the bv8 switch on the device and remain a just one input ?

Otherwise, you have to use the remote of the switch, or a Beo5 with the switch code, or a Lintronic/IRtrans.

Re: BV8-40 and Beamer?

@Bieele:

This way you're able to connect 4 HDMI peripherals to your BV8 AND your beamer.

Re: BV8-40 and Beamer?

There is no proper beamer out available on the BV8-40, but you can still use a beamer. How to connect it depends on what sources you would like to view on your beamer. I also purchased the BV8-40 and have a beamer. I did not completely finish the setup yet, but this is how I will connect it:

- DVD/Blue-ray: HDMI to BV8, Component to Beamer

- Digital cable receiver: HDMI to BV8, Component to Beamer

This way you can watch both sources on your beamer and mute your picture. I had a similar setup with an avant and that worked fine. I use a lintronic to control the beamer.

Is there a posibility using a BV8 with a beamer. Or what would be a good way to do that...
