Thanks for your helpful replies!

it works great now and it helped me to get rid of the laughter by some friends when I turned on the tv ;-)

(sorry for the late reply but I was travelling)

Cheers,

If you have one Beo 4 only the BV 6 will be operated with LINK-TV. If you have a second Beo 4
you can configure it to constant link mode* by doing the following (it will always send LINK prior
to other commands except TEXT):

- press STANDBY and LIST at the same time (display shows ADD?)
- press >> until display shows CONFIG?
- press 2 0 0 2 (display shows LINK ON)
- press EXIT

Repeat the above to set LINK OFF if needed

* Beo 4 must have SW 5.0 or higher

I've got around this by using another Beo4 to control my BV8. So, one Beo4 does *everything* in both rooms, apart from control the BV8. Only a specific Beo4 will operate it.

There is, perhaps, another way. I think you can configure it so you have to do LINK+option to turn on the linkroom TV. However, I found it easier to negotiate a deal on another Beo4.

Re: BV7 and BV6 in almost same room, option seting?

Set the BV6 to Option 4.

TV will call the BV7

LINK TV will call the BV6

... oh I almost forgot... while you are setting the option on the BV6, make sure you remove the power on the BV7, otherwise you'll set its option as well and everything will be very confusing.

In our living we have a BV7-40 for general use. However, in the garden room (adjacent to the living) we have a BV6 for when the children want to watch some tv.

As the BEO4 is comfortably strong in its IR output, both tvs respond when I press SAT in the living. Any idea how to avoid this? Can this be done thru the option setting in the BV?

Any help would be highly appreciated

cheers,
