&lt;p&gt;The woofers can be fixed if it&amp;#39;s &amp;quot;only&amp;quot; the surround that&amp;#39;s falling apart.&lt;br /&gt;This is what we call &amp;quot;foam rot&amp;quot; since it is the butyl foam that deteriorates with age and airs moisture.&lt;br /&gt;I&amp;#39;ve done many refoam jobs&amp;nbsp;and I&amp;#39;m in Denmark. There are other refoam&amp;#39;ers out there, if you&amp;#39;d let us know&lt;br /&gt;where you are (country will do), maybe we can guide you to one nearer.&lt;/p&gt;

The old ones were cracked and pieces were falling out.&lt;/p&gt;
