The second way is to use the special BEO4 mentioned which transmits a special code. I have not seen one of these in action! &lt;p&gt;It was purchased in Denmark from an authorized B&amp;amp;O dealer in 2004 and I explicitly asked him to make it code-free before shipping it to me which he did although I remember him telling me that it was difficult because there wasn&amp;#39;t much &amp;quot;room&amp;quot;.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;But it IS possible...........I think you need to add a chip.&lt;/p&gt;

This is regardless of version II or III. Usually your dealer will charge a minimum fee for this opertion. In Denmark it is about USD 200.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;You will not loose your guarantee by this operation.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I am not aware if&amp;nbsp; you can do this yourself using the Beo4 or Beo5 but I doubt it is possible.&lt;/p&gt;

The modified Beo4 comes to mind. I think the issue is more that some dealers may not know how.&lt;/p&gt;
