I connected from the aux (overture) to the AV out (TV) and it's working wonderfully.

We now have a choice of listening to the sound through the TV or switching to surround sound through the overture (for movie night).

Thanks again.

I have a similar arrangement, I have a non B&O TV connected to my B&O audio system, as Peter and Mika have suggested you can simply use the audio out, use the Overture / Beo 4 to control the volume. Don't use the speakers on the TV (they won't be like your MX) ... use the speakers you have attached to the Overture and your set to go....

Laurence.

Sounds like it would have a volume level that follows the volume setting of the TV, and you could then control the volume of the entire setup with the TV's remote.

All you need is an adapter cable 2xRCA -> 5-pin DIN input, the converter box would be rendered unnecessary.

But, if you don't want sound coming out from the TV's obviously quite inferior speakers but only listen to whatever speakers are connected to the Ouverture, Peter's suggestion would be better. Then you turn the TV volume off and control the sound with the B&O remote.

Re: Can I connect my b&o overture to LG Plasma TV?

Rather depends on the AV out that you have. If this is a RCA out and is fixed line level, this can go direct to the Aux input on the Ouverture. I tried finding a manual on line but couldn't see one.

Can I connect my b&o overture to LG Plasma TV?

I had to recently replace my very old MX5000 TV with an interim LG 42PG20R Plasma TV.

I was using a Beolink converter to connect the MX5000 to my Overture (to create a mock surround sound).

The overture is connected to a beolink converter (using the master link) this then outputs from the audio aux link into the MX5000 TV.

So, my question to you is there anyway I can connect from the Beolink converter to the LG Plasma TV?

I suspect that if this is not possible I will have to buy more speakers!!!!

The ports on the LG are as follows.

Jack Pack
