Hi Swiss,

yes at last i have resolved the problem i took it to my dealer who connected to he's laptop which was on windows vista, and also a pc with windows xp and it worked fine, so i got home reformatted the hard drive on my pc and i found out it was the firewall and internet security, so i have now changed it from norton to McAfee and it works fine, so as they say i'm a very happy bunny.

Hi Swiss i have tried that and it still not finding the Beosound 6 for some reason, also i have tried with windows media player and that can't find it either, i think i have to contact my dealer tomorrow

Good news that your PC has at least identified the Beosound 6.

Now try your BS 6 on N.MUSIC to see if you can copy tracks. You might also see if the Beoplayer allows you to delete tracks or albums.

I wouldn't be too concerned about the charging anomaly. I have experienced this a few times when using the PC connecting cable, versus the mains cable. Shut your BS 6 off for a 10 minutes or so, and then go back into settings. You may see that the device is now fully charged.

Hi i have been charging up the Beosound 6 over night and when i looked this morning it says it's still charging, no display saying fully charged, i have reconnected to pc and gone into my computer and found the Beosound there

First, I would fully charge your BS 6 and then connect it to your PC. Go into My Computer and see if it can be located in My Devices and portable players.

If not, then try a full reinstall of the device.

If charged and recognized, try and see if you can copy new MP3 tracks into via the N. MUSIC selection.

Hi Swiis 2 i have had the Beosound 6 for almost a year now but it's hardly been used, i have formated the device by going into my computer and formating there, i did not use the software disc which came with it i only downloaded beoplayer from the site, to be honest it's been ages since i used it

Trying to be helpful brainstorming: Is this a new BS 6 ? Do you have the original CD ? Is the BS 6 unit fiully charged, and the connection cable intact at both ends ? Do you also have an earlier model of ML linked PC 2 ?

If new, the PC should recognize the unit as a new device. If not, you might delete the file, and try and see ( hopefully ) if a reinstall starting with the CD is successful.

Hi all,

I have a problem with my Beosound 6, i have downloaded Beoplayer and when i connect my Beosound 6 to my pc and Open up Beoplayer, as i click on setup then config, for some reason it's not finding my Beosound 6 in the devices, any help would be great
