Increasing the bitrate won't improve things.
To my ears, the BeoSound 3 has a good sound, for those occasions where I want to have something playing in the background. I use it for audio books, for which it is absolutely perfect.

You may consider the surface it is standing on - a wood cabinet will resonate, adding depth perception to the sound. Don't aim it at glass surfaces or other hard surfaces - and that's it.

optimization of sound quality of beosound 3

Dear all,

I feel the sound quality of beosound 3 in mp3 area is not satisfactory. I have tried to use 224 highest VBR or even mp3 320kbps, both encoded by itunes. But I feel the sound quality is not that outstanding.

Is there anyway to improve the sound quality further? e.g. encoded by beoplayer or use wma??

thank you all of you
