It's working now... I am watching movie now... but i noticed that the sound is relative low for conversation talking and the background is quite loude...anyway to control this?

Re: Connection for Beolab8000 to Beocenter 2

As happy to try to assist as I am, if you have tried the basics and it does not work then you need to go back to the Ebay Seller - how did you pay? Quite simply phono sockets are for the line inputs, powerlink sockets need to set as L/R.

Firstly I would use one cable with one speaker (without the splitter) and break down what works and what doesn't, that may give you a clue - i.e. as efficient as Steve is you need to eliminate faulty cables and a faulty t-splitter.

Re: Connection for Beolab8000 to Beocenter 2

When the BeoLab8000's switch out of stand-by the lights should turn from red to green. I beleive that if they are yellow/amber it indicates a fault in the speaker. I am not technical enough to suggest what the fault may be. You could try switching the power off for an hour and try them again to see if they have re-set. I had a problem with a pair of BeoLab3 speakers, I left them powered off for a while and that cured the problem.

Good luck.

When you select a source are either of the speakers switching out of stand-by? (Red led turning green).

Have you set the switch in the BeoLab8000 speakers to left and right respectively? If you leave them both set to "line" they won't work on Powerlink.
