My beocenter 1 turns off by itself after a while and then stays in stand-by

It doesn't respond. I unplugged it and after a while I could turn it on. It started in the configuration menu

Could it be the same issue? How to access the service menu and where to find the instructions to follow and the pin?

Thanks

Re: Beocenter 1 scare

Yep - Just sounds like the TV got a little confused

It's worth going into the service menu and clearing the error codes!

Re: Beocenter 1 scare

I wouldn't get worried if it has only happened once. It may have been a temporary brown-out or disturbance in the mains power, and some microcontroller in the BC got confused (think of it as a computer crash).

Beocenter 1 scare

Hi my BC1 is over 4 years old and i do not turn it off at the power, it stays on at all times.

The other day, i came home and went to eject a disc where the unit was unresponsive, no response from the remote, nothing, not a flicker, the red light simply stayed on and that was the only sign of life.

I turned it off at the power and then back on, where it returned to normal functioning. I had a miniture heart attack thinking the worst. Was this a warning sign that it is close to dying on me? Already?? [:'(]
