&lt;p&gt;What you need to do now is some organized troubleshooting.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;
&lt;li&gt;have you checked the input switches on the speakers, perhaps the left one is now on &amp;quot;line&amp;quot; and just picks up some noise that keeps it turned on?&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;swap the speaker cables at the Beosound end, does the problem move?&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;swap the speaker cables at the speaker end (or swap the speakers themselves, if you have the cables built into something or otherwise difficult to relocate), what happens now?&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;finally, flick the input switches on both speakers to the &amp;quot;other&amp;quot; position, ie. L to R and R to L and see if anything changes&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;
&lt;p&gt;This should give us some insight whether the problem resides in the Beosound, the cables or the speakers. It might be just a damaged powerlink cable or connector.&lt;/p&gt;

Suggest you swap the speaker identification. ie Switch the left one to R and the right one to L&lt;/p&gt;
