The standard version gives you more flexibility long term

and in the short term allows you to use the adjustment switch he mentioned:

"They also feature a placement switch to adapt the bass performance depending on their position in the room. This is similar in operation to BeoLab 2
with a wall-mounted, corner or free-standing position. In line with the
versatile concept, BeoLab 4 adapts its bass performance to the specific
placement in the room. A switch is set to match a wall-mounted
position, a corner position or a free-standing position to ensure
optimum performance. BeoLab 4 features Adaptive Bass Linearization
(ABL), Bang & Olufsen's proprietary technology for ensuring
superior bass performance from loudspeaker cabinets with modest
physical dimensions."

The other omission is the position switch, which I found to be sonically massively advantageous when using mine.

Re: Beolab4: PC-Version?

Does that mean that they can never be used with a B&O system, or can they be "upgraded/ changed"?

Re: Beolab4: PC-Version?

Hi Tom, the PC version does not have any Powerlink connections. On the frensh forum, I found a price list that lists two different BL4s, a standart version and a PC version, the latter is about 150€ less expensive than the standart version.

What is the difference between the two versions? I have not found any manuals or specificaitons for two different versions, neither on Beowold, nor on the official site.
