Now I have a set of Klipsch VB-10's plugged in instead. Still a bit of overkill at least as far as using a BM4500 is concerned.

Re: Amp for RL140?

I'd love to live in a big house where even the spare bedroom was big enough to get a sleeping bag and a pair of RL140's in it!

Re: Amp for RL140?

Eugene1960:

Unless your bedroom is massive then I suspect that the 3500 will suffice!

Re: Amp for RL140?

Thanks Simon!!

Apparently they are too "in your face" looking for the lounge thats why they have been moved to the bedroom.

Re: Amp for RL140?

According to Beocentral there wasn't really a matching amp for these speakers when released as the Beomaster 8000 had just been discontinued. I suspect the combination will sound fine, remember that for average listing you will be using 2-3W at most so in a bedroom there is no need for a really powerful amp asyou will never go loud enough to need one.

I hope you have a big bedroom, or a very tolerant/understanding wife!

I know that the RL140's need a powerful amp to drive them but would the BM3500 do? Its in a bedroom so it won't be played exceedingly loud very long periods. They look so good together. For interest sake what amp was supposed to be used with RL140's when they were released?

Thanks
