Hi there

any one got the process for freeing up the DTV button, in the future i will want to free up DVD also for an external dvd player.

Enter the service menu, then

Monitor -> Configuration -> set DVF to OFF

ok i did the above and turned ofd the dvd and back on again and DTV was not in the list to choose to assign to AV1.

Try:

Menu, 0-0-Go

for service menu

or:

Menu, (scroll down to "Options") Red-Go, Adjustments For customer service menu.

I don't want to go any farther as the vernacular may be different for the UK.

I recall that it can be turned off in the service menu as well. However, it seems that there were some extra steps like powering Off or On in a particular fashion in conjunction with the service menu selection. Can anyone else confirm?

yes it is possible, i have aBV7-40mk3 with the DVB-T module in it, but its disconnected at the circuit board, so the DTV button is used for SKY on AV1

If you have a DVB-T fitted, then it automatically uses the DTV. If you don't wish to use the DVB-T module, then you will need to get it removed, then DTV will be available for assignment.

As far as I know it is only possible when your BV7 do not have the inbuilt DVBS/T module.

Hello

When i moved over from my BV7 MKII to MKIII i now have to have DTV as freview that i do not use as i have sky

I have to have Sky on VMEM.

I have spoken to my dealer and he said some people have done it and i want to know if anyone here has.

Is it possible to detach DTV from the Freview and resuse it in the connections list so i can assign my sky box back to it?
