Speaking of Avant modules, do you have any other components from a dead Avant (circuit boards)?

I am toying with the idea of putting the picture in picture module in my Avant RF 28 and was wondering how hard or easy is it. Is it a plug and play affair or are there any tricky things to do.

Also does any one have a PIP module left over from a dead Avant that they dont need.

I have a new/unused PIP with fitting instructions suitable for a number of Avant models. Says suitable for type 81XX, 83XX or 84XX

£55 inc delivery in the UK. If it is not the right one or is DOA send it back within 14 days and I'll give you £55 back.

Re: Fitting PIP Module to Avant

I have a 5 year old 32 DVD Avant that was bought as a PIP model, but the dealer had to fit the PIP module after delivery. I seem to recall that there was a bit of a problem over the module first delivered not being the right one and a repeat visit being needed. The job was done failrly quickly, but I got the impression that it wasn't totally straight forward. I think that the PIP modules were often fitted by the dealers rather than being sent out from Denmarkalready in the TVs. Hope someone else in this thread can tell you exactly how to go about it and how to identify the correct module, bearing in mind that in my case even a dealer got the wrong part first time!

Re: Fitting PIP Module to Avant

I had it fitted to my 32 avant vcr non rf model I bought the unit off ebay from birmingham B&O and my mate who works for b&o fitted it pretty much plugged straight in he had to cut a wire and that was it!
