AV-TV then simply selects the AUX input in the rear of the Beocenter, and I believe the television will route there the source it would after simply pressing TV, which is the analogue tuner. AV-SAT would get another source from the TV, and so on.

And AV-RADIO for example will turn on the TV in audio mode and route the tuner of the Beocenter over there, which is quite logical I think

Even my Beocenter 8000 is sensible in this respect - I have it at the office with no Beovision, but it is needed for TV sound anyway. I set it to option 2 (only one IR receiver in a main room, which means the unit will pick up both audio & video commands), and now simply "TV" on any remote selects the AUX, where I have the STB connected.

Yes, this gets confusing pretty fast

Re: Beocenter 9000 help needed for setting options

joeyboygolf:

From memory!!!!! To get TV sound in the 9000 speakers try AV, TV on the remote. If that doesn't work then somebody with a better memory than me will have to help you!

Not sure if it will be the same for an MX, but when I had a Beocenter 900 connected to my BV3-32. To get the TV's sound through the Beocenter's speakers, I had to press AUX followed by 1, 2, 3, or 4. Whatever number you selected after pressing AUX, selected what source that was connected to the TV came through the speakers. Can't remeber which number related to which source, but you get the idea. What I can tell you is the 4 sources were. STB (SAT), VCR, DVD, and the RF connection. Mine was also an early BC9000 and I could not set it to option 0 either.

I've just plugged in my 9000 and connected it to my MX7000. When the Beocenter is powered on (not on Standby) I have trouble with my TV. The TV receives commands from the remote twice e.g. if I press the number 2 to change the channel I get 22 instead. This only happens when the Beocenter is on. When it is on Standby the TV is fine. I assume it is set to the incorrect option. I just tried downloading the manual from here, but it did not work, so I do not know how to change the option setting. If someone could guide me in the right direction that would be great. I need to know which option it should be set to and the button sequence I use on the remote control (either Beolink 1000 or Beo4)

Thanks in advance,
