You could of course ask the dealer if the original RIAA module for 6500/7000 is still available. You just snip a couple of jumpers in the Beomaster and then it plugs (or solders) in. I understand it is quite small with surface mount components so not very practical to build from scratch - as a DIY project, I'd definitely build it in the record player. It's usually very easy to steal the power supply from there as well, and B&O had a good point in moving the amp there.

Velleman also make a cheap and cheerfull kit at about £12 from maplin - however this needs a 12volt supply - the pcb os about 3 x 2 - i fiited one in an old sony turntable box which works very well - i couldn't justify a b&o t/table as my discs are from my youth and quite scratched etc!

Not that this is much help. but I believe there was a board that could be fitted to the BM7000 for just this purpose - I cannot imagine that one will be available now. One of the reasons B&O removed the RIAA was to allow the Beogram to be sited further away from the Beomaster. By fitting the RIAA in the Beogram, a stronger signal was sent and a longer cable could be used. And there is not that much space in the BM7000!!

There will be far more space in the record deck you have - why not build it in there?

PS Look at the service manual of the 6500 - there is the accessory RIAA shown there - page 10 of the pdf
